Publisher and hosting

The IRIO service and the irio.app website are published by CONVERWAY, a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with a share capital of 200 euros, registered office at 52 rue d’Émerainville, 77183 Croissy-Beaubourg, France, registered with the Meaux Trade and Companies Register under number 813 213 303, EU VAT number FR02813213303. Publication director: Marie-Noëlle Garnier, President. The website and the service gateway are hosted by OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France.

The service

IRIO is an iPhone app that lets you talk with an assistant by voice or in writing, show it images and documents, entrust it with memories and projects, and ask it to act with the apps on your iPhone: calendar, messages, email, documents, shortcuts, web search, image creation. The irio.app website presents the service, offers a demo and an optional sign-up for the beta. These terms apply to the app and to the website.

Access and account

IRIO has no account to create: the app generates a technical identifier that contains no information about you, and your purchases are linked to your Apple ID. To use the service, you need a compatible iPhone, an Internet connection, and the legal capacity to enter into a contract or the consent of your legal guardian. You are responsible for how the service is used from your device.

Purchases and subscriptions

Access to IRIO’s features is obtained through a purchase or a subscription made in the App Store, from Apple, at the prices displayed in the app at the time of purchase. Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms; CONVERWAY does not collect any payment directly and has no access to any banking data.

• A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends, from your Apple ID settings.
• Each plan grants, for the period, quotas per type of use: number of messages, minutes of voice, pages analysed, images created. These quotas are shown in the app; once reached, the feature concerned is paused until renewal.
• Prices may change; Apple notifies you of a price change before it applies to a renewal.
• You may exercise your right of withdrawal and your consumer rights with Apple, under the App Store terms.

What we expect from you

You agree to use IRIO in compliance with the law and the rights of others. In particular, it is prohibited:

• to use the service to produce, distribute or store content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or that infringes the privacy or rights of others;
• to attempt to bypass the app’s security mechanisms, to extract our providers’ keys, or to reach the gateway other than through the app;
• to automate use of the service, resell it or embed it in a third-party offering without our written consent;
• to present information produced by IRIO as verified when it concerns a third party, without having checked it.

Content produced by artificial intelligence

IRIO’s answers, summaries, translations, images and suggestions are produced by artificial-intelligence models. They may be incomplete, inaccurate or inappropriate, and are neither medical, legal or financial advice nor an authoritative source. Check any important information before acting on it. IRIO makes no decision on your behalf: a message, an email or any action that involves a third party is carried out only after your explicit confirmation, and you remain its author.

Technical providers

Some features rely on specialised providers — language models, speech transcription and synthesis, web search, image creation — to which your request is sent for the time of its processing, without your identity. They are named in our privacy policy. We choose these providers with care, but we do not control their availability or the content they produce.

Availability and changes to the service

We do our best to keep the service available at all times, without being able to guarantee it: maintenance, incidents, or the unavailability of a provider or of Apple may interrupt it. We may change IRIO’s features, add or remove some, and suspend a device’s access in the event of a breach of these terms or a threat to the security of the service. A suspension caused by a breach gives rise to no refund from us; your rights with Apple remain unchanged.

Intellectual property

The IRIO app, the irio.app website, their code, design and texts, and the IRIO trademark belong to CONVERWAY or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. Your purchase gives you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right of use. What you entrust to IRIO — your conversations, memories, projects, documents — remains yours. The content IRIO produces at your request, including images, is delivered to you for your use; CONVERWAY claims no rights over it.

Liability

CONVERWAY is bound by a best-efforts obligation. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damages and cannot exceed the amounts you paid for the service during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to it. We are not liable for decisions you make on the basis of content produced by IRIO, for actions you confirm, or for the unavailability of a provider or of Apple. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you hold by law as a consumer, in particular the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services.

Ending the service

You may stop using IRIO at any time by deleting the app, which erases the data it keeps on your iPhone; a current subscription is cancelled from your Apple ID settings and remains active until the end of the paid period. We may end the service with reasonable notice published on this website, or suspend access in the event of a serious breach.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a disagreement, write to us first: most difficulties are resolved through a conversation. Failing an agreement, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge or the European online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr). The French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the protective rules applicable to consumers.

We may update these terms. Any new version is published on this page with its update date; a substantial change is announced in the app. Using the service after that date means you accept the version in force.
